Karl Lagerfeld’s most iconic design, the white shirt, has been taking center stage across Germany. In Stuttgart, Dusseldorf and Munich, the Maison has unveiled a series of white shirt pop-ups at leading retailer Breuninger. Blurring the line between shop and installation, the spaces fuse heritage references with a contemporary selection of ready-to-wear and accessories. The experience also spotlights the K/AUTOGRAPH bag, designed to mirror one of Karl Lagerfeld’s earliest hand-drawn signatures. On Saturday, June 13, shoppers will have the opportunity to customize their white shirts with embroidered initials, a word, or short phrase of choice, making each piece completely their own. And as a final highlight, the pop-ups feature something truly special: original white shirts from the 2019 “Tribute to Karl” project, in which Karl’s friends and collaborators — including Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss and Eva Herzigova — custom-designed white shirts in his honor. Don’t miss your moment to visit the white shirt pop-ups at these Breuninger stores, open only until Sunday, June 21. #KARLLAGERFELD
