Grateful to see our research featured in manager magazin. In our recent paper with Patricia Helena Hein and Marjo-Riitta Diehl, we examine women-only networking and a simple but important point: networking is not an automatism. Not every event creates meaningful connections, support, or career benefits. Our findings show that the value of networking depends on how people engage, what they seek from it, and whether the setting allows for trust, reciprocity, and genuine exchange.
