To earn his place on the start line, Anton Ilchenko, Kapitol Senior Estimator, completed his official English Channel Swim qualifier at Half Moon Bay, spending seven consecutive hours in cold open water as part of the requirements for a solo channel crossing. This August, he'll attempt to swim the English Channel to raise funds for Y Open Doors. With nearly 40% of children leaving primary school without knowing how to swim, every dollar raised will help more children access vital swimming lessons and water safety education.
