⚡ India is increasingly opening up its mining sector underground: as near-surface reserves decline, underground mining – and with it longwall technology – is becoming more important. For an international pilot project in mining in India, we are supplying two pump stations made in Germany. One supplies the hydraulic longwall support with emulsion, the other handles cooling and dust control at the face. The conditions are demanding: around 500 m depth, a 300 m longwall face, a planned annual output of 2.0 million tonnes. This is what our high-pressure plunger pumps are built for – with a one-piece forged stainless steel pump head with no coating, and components standardised across all product series. That keeps servicing simple, even underground. And we don't just deliver and leave: we are on site for installation, commissioning and training, together with partners from China, Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland.
