⚡ 680 bar. Unfiltered seawater. 50 °C ambient. No room for weak points. For a major pipeline infrastructure project in the Middle East, KAMAT has delivered two custom-engineered, seawater-resistant high-pressure skid units for hydrostatic pipeline testing — built for scorching heat, high humidity, and raw, unfiltered seawater as the test medium. ✅ Key technical data: • Pump type: 2 × KAMAT quintuplex plunger pump units (K55040M1-5G-DW597B) • Operating pressure: 680 bar (approx. 10,000 psi) • Nominal flow rate: 225–409 l/min (approx. 60–108 gpm) • Drive: CAT diesel engines with integrated KAMAT control technology ✅ Engineering highlights for maximum reliability: • Full seawater resistance — one-piece forged stainless steel pump heads and high-strength duplex-steel valves, entirely coating-free. • Validated for up to 50 °C — all components and seal geometries are qualified for continuous operation at high ambient temperatures. • Wear-free pressure control — infinitely variable speed (up to 1:10) for precise flow adjustment, protecting pipeline welds from switching-induced pressure surges. Thanks to our modular KAMAT system, the units combine exact customer specifications with standardized, maintenance-friendly internals — 100% Made in Germany. ❓ What's the toughest test medium you've had to engineer for?
