Eng 👇 З 13 до 16 квітня триває один із найважливіших ярмарків дитячої книги у світі — у виставковому центрі BolognaFiere у місті Болонья, Італія. Команда видавництва «Каламар» традиційно взяла участь в цій події на стенді Українського інституту книги. Засновниця видавництва, Оля Попович, взяла участь в панельній дискусії про гендерні стереотипи у дитячих книжках. Вірна своєму оптимізму, вона розповіла, як майстерно Слава Світова грається з традиційними уявленнями про гендерні ролі та професії. У книзі «Чоловік, який рахував птахів» вона представляє капітанку Синицю і навіть трішки підсміюється над головним героєм, в картині світу якого усі капітани — чоловіки. Ми пишаємося бути сучасним видавництвом, яке залишає в минулому пережитки попередніх століть. «Каламар» вдячний Ukrainian Book Institute за цікаві знайомства та ділові контакти, які перетворяться на нові книги українською мовою й іноземні переклади українських книжок. From April 13 to 16, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair — one of the most important events in the global children’s publishing industry — took place at the BolognaFiere exhibition center in Bologna, Italy. The Kalamar Publishing House team once again took part in the fair as part of the Ukrainian Book Institute stand. The founder of the publishing house, Olya Popovych, participated in a panel discussion on gender stereotypes in children’s books. Staying true to her optimistic outlook, she spoke about how skillfully Slava Svitova plays with traditional ideas of gender roles and professions. In the book “The Man Who Counted Birds”, she introduces Captain Tit and gently pokes fun at the main character, whose worldview assumes that all captains are men. We are proud to be a contemporary publishing house that leaves behind the outdated notions of past centuries. Kalamar is grateful to the Ukrainian Book Institute for the inspiring meetings and professional connections that will grow into new books in Ukrainian and translations of Ukrainian titles into other languages.
