If everyone agrees with you in every meeting, that's not alignment. That's silence. FEAR KILLS THE RIGHT PROBLEM Mark Forkun's point in Genba Ikigai is one every leader should sit with: if your team can't tell you the truth without fear, then the problem you're solving is the wrong one. Teams under fear don't hide the truth out of malice. They hide it because the cost of speaking up feels higher than the cost of staying quiet. Whatever you're solving for right now — ask yourself whether it's the real problem, or just the one people felt safe enough to mention. One way to test it: think about the last few problems your team raised. Were any of them uncomfortable for leadership to hear? If every recent 'issue' was an easy one, that's worth examining. How do you know whether your team feels safe telling you the truth? #PsychologicalSafety #Leadership #Kaizen #ContinuousImprovement #KME
