Happy Global Exhibitions Day! This year, we have been asked to celebrate people who have opened the doors into our industry for us. I had been attending exhibitions in different roles already - as a journalist, as exhibitor, and as buyer, before I got hired to work in the industry. 📸 Therefore, my career in the exhibition industry wouldn't have happened without Michael Von Zitzewitz. He hired me into Messe Frankfurt GmbH, and challenged me to challenge him and the company to push forward. Likewise, Uwe Behm had just as much of an impact, with his deep insights, calmness, and grounded professionalism. I spent many years at the company, and felt I had the opportunity to grow and learn every single day, and to support and mentor colleagues. This Global Exhibitions Day, I'm celebrating them and all those in our industry who bring in their skills and talents.
