🔥 #HotTopic: 📦 #Packaging bears a great responsibility: It protects – fragile items from breaking, sensitive items from environmental influences, or sterile items from contamination. 💪 However, the attention paid to them – at least by consumers – is rather low. 🗑 Unpack, throw away. 🙅‍♂️The plastics industry has recognized that this will not work for much longer and that a single-use of products is not future-oriented – so has Profine Group. ♻️ It’s the (according to its own information) first profile manufacturer to use PE packaging films that consist of 80% #PCR standard. 💡 The special feature of the new films is that they are not made from pure post-industrial #recyclate, but from post-consumer recyclate. 🍬 This is obtained not only from #PlasticWaste generated in households, but also in part from plastic residues from the oceans. 👼The packaging also has an additional "guardian angel": It has been certified with the "Blue Angel" – the German government's environmental label. 😍 What we find particularly great: In the future, profine would like to recycle all returned #polyethylene film waste from customers in Germany as well as all internal production film waste in a closed loop together with the supplier and then feed it back into production. #KTradefair #MesseDuesseldorf #K2022 #CircularEconomy #Recycling #Sustainability #OceanPlastic © PantherMedia / Natalia Danko
