JYSK invests in wind energy ⚡ We are strengthening our commitment to renewable energy by becoming a central part of a new Danish energy park through a five-year Power Purchase Agreement with Norlys and Eurowind Energy. This agreement will enable us to cover 80 % of our electricity consumption in Denmark with renewable energy – powering our 118 stores, global Head Office in Aarhus, and Distribution Centre in Uldum. It is expected to supply electricity by mid‑2028. As our President & CEO Rami Jensen says, this marks a major step in JYSK’s green transition. “With this agreement, we gain access to renewable energy that will cover a large part of our electricity consumption in Denmark, while at the same time reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.” This initiative supports our SBTi‑approved climate targets, including a 50.4 % reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2032. Alongside solar panels on our distribution centres and our Smart Store concept, Power Purchase Agreements will play a key role in reaching our goals. ➡️Next up: Germany and then additional markets.
