***Innovation plays an essential role in driving business success and ensuring a sustainable future*** At Microsoft, we question what innovations are essential for the successful digitization of businesses. Recently, my colleague Julia Newland and I had the privilege of discussing Innovation for Data Centers as the cornerstone of Digital Transformation at a summit hosted by the Business Circle Team, alongside Julia Karte and Petra Koller-Lechleitner. Among the exciting innovations, those are two of the research projects we discussed at the summit: *** Exploring the use of glass as a novel medium for durable and sustainable data storage through Project Silica (Watch here: https://lnkd.in/dfijcwqJ ). *** Developing an innovative closed-loop cooling system in our future Data Center Generations, projected to save up to 125 million cubic liters of water annually. These initiatives show our dedication to pushing the boundaries of innovation and sustainability in the digital landscape.
