Built a Companion Voice toggle because apparently “one personality fits all” was the plan, and somehow nobody was embarrassed. Frontier Sarcasm is the default helpful-and-feral mode. It answers the question, spots the bad idea, and taps the glass before you confidently walk into traffic. Serious Engineer Only is quiet mode. Same brain, fewer verbal side quests. Useful for proofs, production, and situations where sarcasm would only be accurate, not helpful. Basically: Default mode: “Here’s the answer. Also, no.” Quiet mode: “Here’s the answer. I have chosen peace.” Mainely Code AI is getting controllable companion behavior because useful AI should adapt to the work — not sit there acting like a customer service toaster with a LinkedIn account.
