Extending XM budgets with defensible data
Got asked yesterday which signals we actually trust to measure an experience... Most people reach for surveys. We don't trust those much. Memory fades and people are polite. Ask someone how they felt three weeks later and you get a broken story but we want the truth. Some of the signals we trust are the ones people cannot fake. Choice. π What did they pick when you gave them options. Return. π« Did they come back to something a second time. Nobody goes back to something they did not care about. Skip. βοΈ What did they walk past. Skips are brutally honest. They tell you what failed without anyone having to admit it. Progression. β‘οΈ Did they go deeper or bail early. Confidence & Trust. π Did they hesitate or move with intent. How fast someone commits tells you more than any rating ever will. All behavior. All captured in the moment. No recall required. Someone smarter than me put it best this week Arjan Schimmel, thanksπ. Asking a person to weigh a mood is a losing game. So we stopped asking and simply watch what people do. π€
