More peer-reviewed evidence. More clarity for farmers. A newly published paper from AFBI and Queen’s University Belfast adds another important layer to the growing scientific evidence behind GasAbate. This latest research, conducted over 134 days at a commercial-scale slurry storage facility, shows that GasAbate (based on 65% recommended dosage rate): • Reduces methane emissions by 48% • Reduces ammonia emissions by 18% • Had strongest overall climate impact (GWP) across all treatments tested. Crucially, it does this without the pollution swapping. This builds directly on the recent Queen’s University work showing a 21% increase in grass growth from GasAbate-treated pig slurry. Taken together, the direction of travel is clear: This is not just about emissions reduction. It is about unlocking more value from slurry. 👉 Lower methane, ammonia and hydrogen sulphide emissions 👉 Better nitrogen retention in the slurry 👉 Reduced reliance on chemical fertiliser 👉 Improvements in soil and water health 👉 Stronger farm economics For too long, the debate has treated environmental performance and farm profitability as a trade-off. The science now points in a different direction. At GlasPort Bio, we are continuing to build a robust body of independent, peer-reviewed evidence to support GasAbate as a unique, bio-digital solution that works at farm level and delivers at system level with unrivalled level of MRV.. There is an ever increasing body of deep independent science demonstrating that this is a technology that can help farmers meet regulatory demands, while protecting productivity and margin and supporting regenerative agriculture. The future of food production will not be decided in policy documents alone. It will be decided by solutions that work in the tank, in the field and on the farm balance sheet.
