🧗♀️ “You are Kara, team leader of a cave exploration team. Your mission: explore the cave, study its environment and biosphere, and keep everyone safe.” I’m looking for play testers to explore the story and provide feedback on the first iteration of an interactive storytelling engine. 👉 Try it here: https://lnkd.in/gefUxggk Growing up, I’d spend hours on choose-your-own-adventure books — flipping to page 42 if I dared to enter the cave, or page 17 if I ran away. Each decision pulled me deeper into the adventure. In 2018, Netflix’s Bandersnatch brought that same thrill to the screen — but like the books, both were limited by a fixed set of pre-written paths. I wonder what it would take to create truly open-ended storytelling, shaped freely by the reader’s choices. That curiosity led me to explore how generative AI can support interactive storytelling while minimizing hallucinations to maintain coherence. ✨ Key Takeaways With the right prompts and orchestration, GenAI: - Excels at interpreting ambiguous user inputs and engages with “traditional code” to deliver reliable and predictable outcomes. - Can be segmented into reasoning from generative tasks to optimise cost and speed. - Can use summarised historical context for efficient inference. - Empowers the author's creativity, instead of replacing it. These learnings extend beyond entertainment — into education, training simulations, customer interactions, and decision-support systems. If you’re interested in exploring collaborations, let’s connect! 🤝 #GenerativeAI #InteractiveStories #Storytelling
