Senior Manager - BD, Client Strategy and Responsible Business at A&O Shearman | Emerging Leader of the Year, EMEA

I founded a charity in 2020 during the lockdown without much in the way of social capital or a network. To be honest, I didn’t understand its importance or influence, or its impact on diverse groups. To me, joining the dots and connections between groups or seniorities is one of the most overlooked but influential skills. The more firms and managers can do to play a role in fostering a culture of bridging social capital, the better for their business and diverse communities. A month ago today GROW MENTORING launched in the Middle East. We didn’t start with much, but we’re now using our space to join the dots to our diverse community across borders. One person at a time 🌍
