Making sure that 150M+ patients can get clear answers about their health
Delivering reliability and value where it counts the most – at a point of care. Working in global product supply, we tend to focus a lot on network strategies, impact of changing geopolitics, acceleration of AI adoption as well as on good old continuous cost and cash improvements. Yet, the real impact of our work shows only when our customers experience our products and services. A deeper understanding of customer needs and local challenges brings valuable context to every strategic and operational decision taken globally, helping to see not just what needs to be delivered, but why it matters. I had a pleasure to spend the last two days with colleagues from our EMEA Radiology Medical Device Hub in Maastricht, NL. A unique blend of commercial, regulatory, technical, planning, O2C, logistics, quality, finance, master data management and other highly relevant capabilities, tightly integrated to provide best possible customer service. I was impressed to see how still a very lean team drives excellence in supporting thousands of customers across 65 countries, as well as how sharp customer centricity resonated in all the discussions. A further stop-over in our global medical device distribution center in Heerlen, NL provided valuable insights into the advancements, but also challenges and opportunities of global logistical operations as well as last mile order fulfillment. Big thanks to the Maastricht team for sharing your insights and passion. It is experiences like this that help to ensure that our global operations stay aligned with what truly matters: delivering reliability and value where it counts the most – at a point of care.
