Last Monday, the 2026 JA Company Program Regional Pitch Competition brought together some of the most promising young entrepreneurs in Greater Boston. Students took the stage to share not just business ideas, but their journeys, turning creativity, purpose, and determination into real ventures. From tackling challenges in their communities to designing innovative solutions, each team demonstrated the power of entrepreneurship to drive social impact. Over the past several months, these high school founders built and launched their own startups with the guidance of dedicated volunteer mentors, culminating in pitches to a panel of judges for the title of 2026 JA Company of the Year. Congratulations to our 2nd-place team, The Pendama, a detachable ball-and-stick game inspired by the traditional Japanese kendama. With its big cup, small cup, and spike, it brings adaptable tricks and endless, pocket-sized fun. And congratulations to our 2026 JA Company of the Year, The Jitterpen, a smart 2 in 1 design combining a spinning fidget with a pen, created to support individuals with ADHD or anxiety by providing the sensory stimulation needed to stay focused and manage stress. This is what Education for What’s Next looks like in action, young people building, solving, and leading with purpose. #YouthEntrepreneurship #JACompanyProgram #EducationForWhatsNext #juniorachievement
