Because 4 months ago, I came back to France after six unforgettable months in Dublin, a truly human and linguistic adventure ! There is so much to say that I don’t even know where to start. During this time, I studied at Atlas Language School, first in a C1 Advanced class, then in a Cambridge C1 Advanced preparation course. After 21 weeks of intensive lessons, I’m proud to share that I’ve officially received my C1 Advanced certification. What did this experience teach me? - Real confidence in speaking, especially in professional and intercultural contexts - Improved fluency and precision in English - And above all, an incredible open-mindedness, thanks to the people I met from all around the world 🌍 Of course, it wasn’t always perfect; there were moments of loneliness, adaptation, and doubt, but those challenges were an essential part of the journey. They taught me to become more independent, resilient, and confident in my decisions. This gap year was, above all, a personal challenge: stepping out of my comfort zone to grow, learn, and experience another culture. Today, I can truly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made 💫I met so many people from different backgrounds that I couldn’t even count them on both hands. That’s what struck me the most: learning about the Mexican school system, introducing rugby to Korean friends, or even paying tribute to Michel Sardou (some will get the reference 😉). This experience was sometimes unpredictable, but that’s exactly what made it so beautiful. It also allowed me to travel more easily and add three cities to my list of visited places: Edinburgh, London, and Seville (a bit further away, but worth it!). If I have something to say: Thank you. Thnaks to everyone I met there for your kindness, energy, and smiles, I know I’ll never forget you, i know it. So, if some of you are still hesitating to leap, here’s my advice: just go for it. Go, because you’ll never know what to expect… and that’s exactly what makes travel so magical.
