Passionately Curious AV Archivist and Journalist | Master in Archives and Records Management Graduate| FRAME Advanced Tech and Access 2024-25 Participant | Senior Lecturer, UPSLIS

The University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies Recognition Rites was held yesterday, my first-ever as a senior lecturer. Seeing my former students, batchmate, and the rest of Class Idlab 2026 graduates feels different compared to when I was at the same venue two years ago as a graduating student. The heartfelt messages from students to colleagues meant so much. For someone who is realizing her childhood dream to become a teacher, I can only offer my best to my students. I don’t know what to expect for my first year of teaching. That’s why, if I get a message of appreciation, I’m sometimes at a loss as to how to properly respond. My teaching has resonated with some of them because it comes from a place of genuine care for the next generation. Because I believe that their success is also our nation’s success. Padayon Class 2026! P.S. Thank you UPSLIS Fam for the trust since Day 1. Profs. Iyra Buenrostro Nathan Isip Bono Olgado Johann Frederick A. Cabbab, Dean Rhea Apolinario and the rest of faculty and staff! ✨♥️🇵🇭
