I hung up my phone and my husband says to me: "who were you talking to?" "My friend from LinkedIn." "Wait, on the phone? And from LinkedIn?" "Yeah, I called her about business stuff, because I needed advice." "But, she's a stranger from the internet. Why are you talking to her?" "Everyone is a stranger at first. Plus, she is super smart, and being able to talk to someone who is in NO WAY connected to my work or life but can offer advice and support has been really great for me. Plus, she is funny." So, I guess my point here is, not everyone on this platform is weird. Not everyone is selling something. Not everyone is in it for themselves. Sometimes real relationships can happen, and hopefully you can find the right ones.
