Last week reminded me why I chose hospitality in the first place. 🇬🇧 London was not just a destination, but a true learning laboratory, from iconic landmarks to intimate neighborhood gems. From the vast, majestic world of Harrods to the warm, close-knit atmosphere of Julie's Restaurant a charming Notting Hill restaurant, I discovered two completely different environments driven by the same fundamentals: precision, structure, and impeccable organisation. These visits showed me that operational excellence is the foundation of every successful culinary experience, regardless of scale. I was also deeply inspired by the rich heritage and storytelling behind The Savoy and Raffles London at The OWO, two properties where history shapes identity, something I genuinely love about the hospitality industry. Another highlight was discovering the values-driven culture at Rosewood London, a group genuinely committed to creating profound connections between people and place. At Mama Shelter London, I appreciated how team members’ personalities are encouraged to shine. And Pan Pacific London impressed me with its distinctly cosmopolitan spirit, truly reflecting London’s global energy. Finally, having completed my last internship at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée Paris, I couldn’t leave London without visiting two Dorchester Collection icons I had heard so much about: The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane. Experiencing them in person was both meaningful and inspiring. I would like to thank those without whom this week would not have been possible: Helen Spillane-Roux-Fontaine, Eric Vogler, Amina Mmadi, and Chloé Renouf. Lastly, I am sincerely grateful to all the passionate professionals who took the time to welcome us, share their insights, and open their doors. Victor MAURER, Kevin Marmion, Bastien Carriou, Christoph Merz, Candice Najean, Ashley Galloway, Joao Faisca, Jing Xinchen Li, Adelaide Lyth, Lukas Vodak Assoc CIPD and Léa SCHLEGEL. A week filled with inspiration, learning, and renewed motivation.
