Last Friday, I had the privilege of representing the University of Victoria, Peter B. Gustavson School of Business, alongside my teammates, Tony Nordstrom and Lisa Vu, as we participated in the 3rd annual Sustainable Supply Chain Case Competition hosted by the SCOMC - Supply Chain and Operations Management Club, Schulich School of Business. The case focused on a critical challenge affecting organizations across sectors: the rise in supply chain disruptions driven by severe weather events. This is a real-life issue I've encountered working in the distribution space, where climate‑related disruptions directly influence operational performance. Our team, Supply Chain Heroes, was one of three finalists selected from ten participating teams, and the only team representing the West Coast. We competed virtually in the final round and were proud to place 3rd overall. Congratulations to the top two teams for their exceptional presentations. Thank you to the organizers, judges, and sponsors for creating such a meaningful and enriching learning experience. To my teammates, this being our first case competition, I’m grateful for your collaboration, commitment, and resilience throughout the process.
