Postgraduate Researcher – Process Systems Engineering

Very pleased to have shared my approach for dimensioning production equipment for demand-side flexibility to participate in electricity markets at #ESCAPE36 in Sheffield. It was highly rewarding to see the interest. Fundamentally rooted in scheduling optimization, the approach considers system dynamics first, validating them against years of historical day-ahead electricity market data. This resulted in informed, generic criteria based on production and hold-up capacity, saving costs on the electricity bill. The work would not have been possible without the great supervision of Hannes Lange and the Process-to-Order Lab. #Sheffield #DemandSideFlexibility #ElectricityMarkets #H2Giga #Electrolysis #Hydrogen #RecedingHorizon #ModelPredictiveControl
