Volunteering your time to support a cause you are passionate about is something you will never regret. Last week I 'slept rough' for the Vinnies CEO Sleepout. Whilst it didn't replicate homelessness, it gave me an insight into the statistics and the challenges faced by those sleeping on the streets. Despite layering my clothing as advised, it was a poor buffer against the biting cold and uncomfortable elements I faced for just one night. Others are not so lucky. My overwhelming conclusion... the reasons behind homelessness are complex and repetitive and more needs to be done to find an intelligent, long-term solution to help those trapped in this vicious cycle. Spending time supporting a cause is a great way to broaden your perceptions of the world and learn a new perspective. Dedicating time to help others will teach you patience, kindness, and resilience. #motivationmonday #mazdabrisbane #mountgravattmazda #mgm #leadership
