One of this year’s highlights comes early: our landmark paper, now published in Cell by Cell Press, outlines the future of #CancerNeuroscience. Here are my two cents: if cancer forms functional synapses with neurons, what are the implications for brain-body interactions, psychological states and behavior? Let’s tackle this and change the way we see and treat cancer. Psychiatric care in cancer isn’t supportive — it’s disease-modifying, rooted in shared biological mechanisms.
