Accelerating Europe’s energy transition through renewable gases, reimagining ecosystem restoration through digital platforms.

Visiting a biomethane plant always reminds me why I love this industry. It combines so many different aspects from microbiology, chemistry, agriculture, engineering and economics. If there is a poster child of multidisciplinarity in the energy sector, it's certainly biomethane. ♻️- But actually, this plant took it even further. The animals live right next to the plant and the products are sold in the same town. Plant operator Haller walked us through every stage of the process, from feeding and manure management to upgrading and grid injection. 🌱- One remark stuck with me. Haller pointed out that this form of use is exactly what keeps the surrounding grasslands alive, and that this only works because the use is economically viable. Without a business case, the meadows would disappear. 💡- It is the same insight that led me to found Arkadia: protecting land requires economic incentives in our system. Conservation needs financing structures if it’s meant to last. #Biomethane #RenewableGas #CircularEconomy #Agriculture #Arkadia
