Frankfurt Diakonie Clinics: Michelle Berg promoted to Managing Director at Agaplesion Michelle Berg will become the new Managing Director of the Agaplesion Frankfurt Diakonie Clinics. She succeeds Jürgen Schäfer and will form a dual leadership team with Michael Keller. In her new role, Michelle Berg will primarily be responsible for managing Bethanien Hospital. At the Agaplesion Frankfurt Diakonie Clinics, the current Director of Nursing, Michelle Berg, will move into the management board as of January 1, 2026. She will take over from Jürgen Schäfer, who has served as Managing Director since 2006 and is retiring. In the future, Berg will lead the clinics together with Michael Keller, the spokesperson of the management board. According to Agaplesion, the 32-year-old will mainly assume responsibility for Bethanien Hospital, while Keller will continue to focus on Markus Hospital as before. The Rhein-Main Training Center for Nursing Professions and the company FDK Central Services will also fall under Berg’s area of responsibility. After completing her secondary education, the clinic manager first earned a bachelor’s degree in General Nursing while simultaneously training as a registered nurse. In 2018, she began her career at Agaplesion through a trainee program. Alongside her professional work, she completed a master’s degree in Leadership and Management at Buckinghamshire New University. At the age of just 28, she took on the role of Director of Nursing, with responsibility for around 750 employees. She also obtained an additional qualification in Finance and Controlling in St. Gallen. “Michelle Berg has made a significant contribution to the positive development of our two Frankfurt locations under challenging conditions,” praised Dr. Markus Horneber. Her path from trainee to head of nursing services, to Director of Nursing, and now into the management board is impressive, said the CEO of the Agaplesion Group. According to Agaplesion, Berg’s predecessor Schäfer will remain in office until the end of March 2026 to support her transition into the management board before retiring. Schäfer has had a lasting impact on the Frankfurt Diakonie Clinics over the past 20 years, Horneber said: “We will sorely miss his passion, his leadership skills combined with a special sensitivity for people, and his high level of expertise in healthcare and emergency services.” Image Beste Grüße Michelle Berg Klinikmanagerin T 069 4608 301 oder T 069 4608 303 [email protected]
