Advancing Treatment for STK11-Mutant NSCLC: A New Investigator-Led Phase II Trial at The Christ Hospital Health Network, Cincinnati Patients with STK11-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) face a particularly challenging prognosis. This mutation is associated with resistance to immunotherapy, and currently, no approved targeted therapies exist for this subgroup—highlighting a critical unmet need in oncology. This study will explore JBI-802 (dual LSD1/HDAC6 inhibitor) both as monotherapy and in combination with pembrolizumab (anti-PD-1 immunotherapy). This innovative approach aims to: ✅ Reprogram the tumor microenvironment via LSD1 inhibition ✅ Reduce immunosuppressive signalling through HDAC6 inhibition ✅ Ultimately, overcome resistance to checkpoint inhibitors The trial is enrolling patients with advanced solid tumors, including STK11-mutant NSCLC, and represents a promising step forward in epigenetic cancer therapy. 📄 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gNHYd2MX #OncologyInnovation #STK11Mutation #NSCLC #CancerResearch #ImmunotherapyResistance #JBI802 #Epigenetics #ClinicalTrials #UnmetNeed #ChristHospital #lsd1 #corest #stk11
