Well, after 44 years working in financial services (23 years in the lifetime mortgage industry, the last 10 here at Home Finance), the time has come and I am leaving L&G today, Monday 10 November 2025. Where did those years go??! I’ve made lifelong friends along the way and enjoyed ALL of my working life - from my very first day in September 1981 when I joined Lloyds Bank in Acocks Green, to helping build a lifetime mortgage business from scratch, which L&G acquired in 2015. What a game change for the Equity Release industry that was! I’ve absolutely LOVED my time here. It’s an amazing industry I work in, where we really do change our customers later lives for the better. That’s so important to me. I’ve always put the customer at the heart of what I do, asking myself " is this how I would want my Mom or Dad to be treated?" It's a good benchmark ❤️ Whilst I’m so looking forward to having a little more time to enjoy my own “later life”(and even more holidays!) I am also sad to be leaving my lovely colleagues, advisers and the professionals I’ve worked with, so I will see how I go. I have no pre-conceived ideas – I’m going to enjoy some downtime and see what this next Chapter brings. Who knows, our paths may cross in the future!😊 It just leaves me to say thank you to everyone who has helped and supported me over the years and to wish you all every success, both personally and professionally.
