I’m looking forward to leading this discussion at the Sifted Summit tomorrow. Productivity and growth are among the biggest challenges facing the world — especially the UK and continental Europe. I’m keen to hear what people building and funding tech have to say on the role policy can and should play in fostering innovation and growth. The lesson from our research (with Paolo Surico, James Cloyne, Haroon Mumtaz, Andrea Giovanni Gazzani, Filippo Natoli) is clear: governments can and should do more to boost innovation — through both tax policy (https://lnkd.in/evajv56z) and public funding for research (https://lnkd.in/e9HyeTQX).
