π§πͺ π π°πͺ What do you say to a #president about your organization when you have 2 minutes to pitch? So many priorities... When H.E. Dr. William Ruto entered the room for a dialogue with several Belgian CEO's, I was prepared to start by saying how important #Kenia is as number π₯ investment destination for BIO - the Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries. But I did not get the chance... π€© HE the president said himself during his speech "BIO has been showing the way for 25 years, and has invested almost π― million Euro in the country". I added by showcasing some of those #impactinvestments of BIO like : π Glacier Products Ltd, an β¬8 million investment into a Kenyan family-owned dairy company sourcing milk from local #smallholderfarmers - learn more: https://lnkd.in/e2WV52dd π poa! internet, a EUR 3 million investment into a low-cost internet service provider serving underserved urban and peri-urban communities. learn more: https://lnkd.in/evxjj9ZF. π BURN manufacturing, a Kenyan leader in high-efficiency cookstoves that has delivered energy access to over 7.5 million people across 15 African countries, in which BIO invested through the Spark Africa Fund. (Baron) Vanden Eynde for the organization and congratulations for the launch of the Kenya-Benelux-EU Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Good to see Belgian private sector partners around the table that are active with us on the African market such as Puratos, VYNCKE, BOSAQ, Close the Gap, Texaf and Brussels Airlines. Olivier N.
