Christ at the Center of Our Decisions By Jorge Arturo Acevedo Alarid, Ph.D “When principles are stronger than circumstances, decisions become clearer.” In a world filled with uncertainty, noise, and constant change, I have come to believe that one of the greatest leadership choices we can make is to place Christ at the center of our decisions. Not as a political statement. Not as a religious label. But as a source of values that transcend ideologies, markets, and generations. For me, being Christ-centered means striving to lead with integrity when compromise is easier, choosing service over ego, seeking truth over convenience, and remembering that every decision ultimately affects people, families, and communities. Whether in business, public service, education, or civic life, our world needs leaders guided not only by intelligence and ambition, but also by wisdom, compassion, humility, and hope. Faith does not eliminate complexity. It provides a compass when the path ahead is unclear. Perhaps the greatest challenge of our time is not technological, economic, or political. Perhaps it is moral and spiritual. And perhaps the answers we seek begin by placing timeless values at the center of how we live, lead, and serve. Leadership is not defined by the power we accumulate, but by the values that guide our decisions when no one is watching. #Leadership #Faith #Purpose #ValuesBasedLeadership #Hope #Service #HumanCenteredLeadership #ChristCentered #Integrity #Inspiration #LinkedInVoices University of the Incarnate Word St. Xavier's College ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara University of Notre Dame Georgetown University Boston College The Catholic University of America
