Half the people posting on LinkedIn are putting on a mask. The other half aren't. I'd say it's split about 50/50. I know some of these people in that first half. I've read their posts and a lot of it is just not real. People positioning themselves as something they're not because the platform rewards it. And now with AI anyone can do it. Anyone can make a business flowchart, anyone can write about the struggles of scaling a business, anyone can put together a post about hiring strategy and sound like they've been doing it for 20 years... So what is even authentic anymore? And yeah, some people are genuinely good at it. Their content is who they are in real life. But with others you ask yourself, is this person actually the person writing this post? Is this who they are or is it just the version of themselves they put on here? How do you even know?
