You’d be forgiven if you didn’t… Good news from government this week for communities, buried under local by-elections!! 🙂 A £61m #Community #RighttoBuy Fund to help communities take over pubs, shops and local assets at risk of closure. Positive? Yes. Enough? Nowhere near, given the demand we are seeing from communities across the country. But a meaningful step in the right direction. This is so closely aligned with the Resonance Limited #CommunityDevelopers vision…where we want all communities to feel empowered to create local solutions, own the local assets that are important to them and contribute to place-making, economic resilience and tackling inequalities 💥 Done right…with recyclable capital at its core…a fund like this could have real impact, especially if it doesn’t just spend money once. It keeps going. That feels particularly important right now.
