Works Manager @ SGA
The machine that started it all… This old Bitelli BB730 isn’t just a paver. It’s where the SGA journey began. Before the fleet, before the crews, before the projects, there were just two blokes with a dream. Jason Hind and Stephen Hamill pulled on the gloves, rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Days. Nights. Weekends. Whatever it took. No shortcuts. No handouts, Just hard work, sacrifice and a belief that if you kept turning up, things would eventually come together. That’s what real business ownership looks like. It isn’t sitting behind a keyboard telling people how successful you are. It’s getting dirty, solving problems, backing your team and leading from the front. All these years later, nothing has changed. They still lead by example every single day. One saying has always stuck with us at SGA: Slow and steady wins the race. Now, this Bitelli BB730 has left us for its new home right here in the local industry. We couldn’t be happier knowing it’s going to help someone else chase their own dream, just like it did theirs all those years ago. Because that’s what this industry should be about. We don’t believe in tearing others down or trying to crush the next bloke having a go. Real men promote each other. Strong businesses help build stronger industries. To the new owners—we wish you every success. We hope this machine brings you the same opportunities, lessons and memories that it brought SGA. Every journey has a beginning. This was theirs.
