A few months ago, I stood in front of marketing class I attended last year sharing what I've learned to the students as a guest judge. At the end of the session, I told the students: "If anyone wants help with their LinkedIn afterwards, just reach out." A couple of them did. So on Thursday afternoon, we jumped on a call and spent some time walking through their profiles, their goals, and some practical ways they can start growing their presence. The funny thing is... I don't have a massive LinkedIn account. I'm still learning. I'm still experimenting. I'm still making mistakes. And every week I'm discovering something new. But I also remember what it felt like to start with almost no connections, very little direction, and wishing someone had simply shown me the basics. Sometimes you don't need advice from someone who's ten years ahead. Sometimes you just need someone who's a few steps further down the road and willing to turn around and say, "Here's what helped me." If sharing what I'm learning can save someone months of trial and error, then it's worth every minute. A huge thank you to these two for reaching out, asking questions, and being willing to learn. That mindset alone will take you far. Mpho Tsekiso & Nonkululeko Nene And to everyone who has supported my own journey so far—thank you. The advice, conversations, encouragement, and opportunities I've been given are the reason I can now pass some of it on to someone else. Sherwin Arjnan I'm excited to keep learning, keep growing, and hopefully help a few more people along the way. What is one piece of advice someone gave you that completely changed your career? 💜 #LinkedIn #PersonalBranding #Networking #Marketing #CareerGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment #Mentorship #GrowthMindset #Entrepreneurship #Learning #NorthWestUniversity
