Stepping out of the Dubai International Airport after years of transits felt special ✨ Grateful to attend the 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗹𝗶𝘀 as an Amaly Legacy fellow, contributing pro bono in research and publication via my expertise in green finance during my MSc Sustainable Finance in Paris. It was inspiring to learn from industry veterans who have built remarkable careers before venturing into climate and nature positive impact businesses of their own (Fabian Schmidt-Pramov , Luca Torre). Privileged to have been part of insightful sessions from The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and leaders across catalytic funds, VCs, and global foundations. As a consultant in impact reporting and strategy at Weber Shandwick, I was pleasantly surprised when the conference rightfully identified 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 as 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻-𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 of climate and social impact, dedicating a whole segment to unpacking how communications is correlated to effective impact investing. I learnt how industry veterans such as Dania Ismail,co-founder of Jusoor, leveraged their professional skillsets to navigate complex political contexts. Grateful to hear from industry leaders in parametric insurance (Zurich Insurance) and aviation (Andrew Sweeney MBE Boeing) on navigating Scope 3 challenges, while innovating their portfolio of products and services to offer new solutions in an age marked by anthropogenic climate change. Huge thanks to Wahid and team for the opportunity and hospitality. Truly an enriching experience to have visited the diamond in the desert, connecting with leaders across the Impact & ESG space. #ImpactInvesting #Sustainability #Philanthropy #ESG #ClimateFinance #ImpactCommunications
