From being immersed in sci-fi, my dream has always been to usher in the robotics revolution. Every revolution frees up people's time from things they would otherwise need to do, to things they want to do. Robots need to move from factories to homes for this to happen. I've been working towards this goal from being a part of the first class of Engineer Science Robotics at the University of Toronto, to my PhD at the University of Michigan working on contact-rich manipulation, to building open-source robotics software libraries like pytorch kinematics (https://lnkd.in/gkXwVeiB) and pytorch mppi (https://lnkd.in/g2etS-cC), and to joining Sunday. With our series B, we are on the cusp of bringing robots into homes!
