The simple answer to this question is a BIG NO. Deutsche Bahn has been promising for years things will shortly get better and every year it gets worse!! One just has to visit Hamburg Central Station - delays, totally old trains, dejected passengers - and why , everyday the station is working at over 120% capacity, the equipment is long past its sell by date. Funnily enough there are 2 other larger stations in Hamburg - Altona and Dammtor - hardly used. Just a simple example of total mismanagement. The DB staff are great; do their best in the circumstances. It’s the senior management who are “crap”. - sitting is their glass cathedral in Berlin, company cars with chauffeurs to get them about!! No one has any faith in DB anymore - it’s like hearing a Trump announcement - not worth the toilet paper it’s written on!!! Dream on the nightmare will only get worse!!
