What does the client sitting across from us really need from us? Not the product. Not the pitch. Not even the portfolio — at least not first. They need to know what we stand for. That’s what we set out to articulate when we rebuilt the UOB wealth advisory approach. It is a restatement of conviction — one that applies across every client segment we serve. As we review our wealth advisory approach and investment process, we reflected upon how views are formed, conviction established, portfolio constructed , solutions recommended. All with personalisation and client centricity at heart. And these three words were the best words which represents what we do everyday : Responsibility. Prudence. Excellence. Responsibility means we start with purpose, not product. Prudence means we pay more attention to the risks you’re taking than the returns you’re chasing. Excellence means we hold ourselves to institutional-grade thinking — CIO research, Strategic Asset Allocation, open architecture. We’re bringing this to life with the launch of our refreshed Privilege Banking client value proposition. Across ASEAN, a generation of families is making decisions today that will define their financial lives for decades. They deserve advisory that begins with values, not transactions.
