John Cockerill was at the Africa Energy Forum in Cape Town (South Africa), connecting with key stakeholders across the African energy sector. The Forum offered an excellent opportunity to highlight our latest developments, with a particular focus on Modular Concentrated Solar Power (#CSP), an innovative solution designed to provide renewable #heat or a combinaison of heat and power to industrial customers. This technology is particularly relevant for remote and energy-intensive industries, such as the South African mining sector, where grid reliability remains a challenge. By providing clean, reliable and dispatchable energy, Modular CSP can support industrial competitiveness while contributing to decarbonization objectives. Beyond the Forum, John Cockerill -represented by Thomas Bauthier- also met with key partners at Stellenbosch University, including CRSES, STERG and the Geometallurgy Research Group, to strengthen collaboration around the role of CSP in industrial decarbonization. Building strong local partnerships is a cornerstone of John Cockerill's strategy in South Africa to deploy its Modular CSP technology as the perfect solution to address the country's energy challenges.
