Let me present our new IKEA Design interns for the Spring! On 1 February, we welcomed our new Design interns to our inhouse Design department in Älmhult. They will be with us until the end of July, and we are so looking forward to exploring new ideas together with them. Emil Andersson is an Industrial designer who recently received his bachelor’s degree in industrial design from Lund University. He has a passion for the objects that build and shape the home. Ludvig Hyrefelt is a ceramic artist with a Bachelor of Arts in Ceramics and Glass from Konstfack and a Bachelor of Science in Medicine. He works with themes that include modularity, repetition, and geometry, and his work is an acrobatic navigation between art, craft, and design. Emma Burzynski is a Canadian textile designer whose work explores the materiality of colour and its ability to shape mood and meaning. Drawn to bold palettes and playful contrasts, she investigates how woven surfaces can transform personal impressions into open, interpretive experiences. She recently completed her master’s degree in textile design at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås. We are very happy to have the opportunity to support young talents to continue to grow and develop. And at the same time, it gives us fresh perspectives. Warm welcome to IKEA of Sweden and our Inhouse Design Studio. #democraticdesign Inter IKEA Group
