It’s a sad day in music world today. In particularly my connection with this is interestingly unique. Walt Parazaider was in the first graduating class of my high school Proviso West in Hillside, Illinois. One of my sisters graduated in the same class and knew Walt. Walt lived in Bellwood Illinois and was the founding member of Chicago. He became good friends with the iconic great Terry Kath, one my guitar heroes. Terry used to hang out at Walt‘s family home in Bellwood and was introduced to my guitar teacher ‘Stu Pierce. Obviously, this inspired a whole bunch of local guitarist who also studied with ‘Stu. Chicago the band inspired nearly every Chicagoland high school, jazz band musician to want to be the next Chicago. Here’s to one of our unsung music heroes. RIP Walt. https://lnkd.in/gCAk3TeB
