Happy Shwmae Su’mae Day✨👋! This year’s theme is all about ‘hwyl’ (which loosely translates as fun). But for me, ‘hwyl’ is all about connection. It’s about the people we meet, the friendships we build, and the community that grows around the Welsh language ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿! I find ‘hwyl’ through so many parts of my life - chatting with friends, travelling, listening to Welsh music, and working on Welsh language projects. Every moment reminds me how the language connects us; not just through words, but through shared experiences and belonging. Diwrnod Shwmae is about encouraging everyone to use the Welsh they have, whatever their level. So today, let’s celebrate that sense of connection!
