Closing one chapter, excited for the next 📚✨ As I wait to meet my freshmen for the new academic year next week, I’ve been reflecting on my very first semester as a lecturer. Walking into class on day one? Honestly—nerve-wracking. 
But somewhere between lesson planning, classroom moments, and countless conversations, that nervousness slowly turned into growth. Over the semester, I learned just how diverse a classroom can be. Different learning styles, different paces, different perspectives—all of which challenged me to rethink how I teach and connect. It pushed me to make lessons more relatable, more engaging, and (hopefully) more meaningful. One of the most rewarding moments was reading my first Teaching Evaluation and Subject Survey (TESSY). Seeing that students found my lessons helpful and that they felt comfortable approaching me meant more than I expected 🥰 I’m incredibly grateful to have crossed paths with all my classes. Ending the final class felt bittersweet… saying goodbye to my “babies” hit harder than I thought. Is this what every teacher feels watching their students grow? 😂 And just like that, we’re on to the next chapter. I’ll soon be welcoming a new batch of Freshmen—and stepping into the role of a Care Person for some of them. I’m excited to guide them, support them, and help them navigate polytechnic life. Here’s to new beginnings, new faces, and new memories ahead ✨ (Sharing a few snippets of my teaching journey so far—can’t wait for what’s next!)
