I Like to develop Games! ๐ค๐ฎ
60,000! That's how many ancient ceramic pots and vases were destroyed during our three days at TAGS at Copenhagen Gaming Week! ๐บ๐ฅ We created a conference-tailored challenge level where guests had to smash 100 pots as fast as possible. Do the math: that's 600 completed runs, or 25 players finishing the challenge every single hour across all three days! The fastest times earned a spot on our leaderboard, and the competition was fierce.๐ฅ What was especially great was to see guests come back again and again to beat their own high scores. If that's not validation that your core gameplay loop is fun, I don't know what is! ๐ฅณ We also invited guests to draw on top of creatures from our game and hung them on our Wall, and i have to say there really is some creative minds out there! (Swipe to see the beautiful chaos ๐จ) Beyond the numbers, TAGS was an incredible opportunity to meet passionate people, receive tons of valuable feedback, stress-test our game with hundreds of players, and get inspired by all the other amazing games on display, and the driven people developing them. We even got interviews and were contacted by interested third parties, exciting stuff! ๐คฉ What the future hold for Skybound and myself is still unclear, but no matter where it leads me, I'm learning like never before, and for that I'm really grateful๐ Huge shoutout to my amazing team: Tim Bramming, Mikkel Aarup Vinther, Lasse, Natasja Jensen & Albin Sand โจ And lastly thank you Brian Martin Nielsen for organizing this entire thing! If you want to try our game, the challenge, and maybe even compete for a spot in the global steam leaderboard! You can play Skybound on Steam for free right now: https://lnkd.in/euU-s2AZ โ๏ธโ and of course thanks to Games Denmark, NIMBI โ Danmarks Institut for Spiludvikling and Bellagroup for sponsoring TAGS! ๐ #gamedev #CopenhagenGamingWeek #TAGS #IndieDev #Showcase #Skybound
