Another great day for FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg! Today we appointed Dr. Jens Fürst, MBA as Professor of Digital Factory with a focus on Medical Technology at our Department of Mechanical Engineering, Technical Faculty. Jens brings outstanding expertise from Siemens Healthineers and a strong international track record in innovation, research, and development. His work combines digitalization and automation to design the production systems of the future – efficient, flexible, and sustainable. In medical technology, this means nothing less than shaping how high-quality devices will be developed and manufactured in the years to come. We are delighted to welcome him to FAU and look forward to the impulses he will bring to research, teaching, and innovation.
