Daily Nuggets: 1.) The mic captures sound, sure, but it also captures tension, confidence, impatience, joy, insecurity, boredom, excitement, and every other emotional ingredient you’re carrying into the booth. Audio engineering is real. So is emotional leakage. 2.) It’s okay to see something someone you commonly disagree with says and think, “Well, they’ve got a point there.” The longer you stay in the VO biz the more remarkable it is how many people you initially thought were not your jam who you later come to respect quite a bit. 3.) Never trust a skinny capybara.
