Closing a Chapter, Opening New Ones✨️ After today’s AGM, I officially wrap up my journey as a committee member of the Massey University Sri Lankan Association (MUASLA) — marking the end of an amazing two-year chapter that began with me volunteering at events, growing into the Events Coordinator, and finally taking on the responsibility of Treasurer. Being part of MUASLA has been so much more than just holding titles. It’s been about community, teamwork, laughter, and the shared effort of creating spaces where our culture and friendships could thrive. From planning cultural nights to managing budgets and supporting every event behind the scenes, it’s been a truly rewarding experience that taught me leadership, organization, and collaboration in real-world ways. I’m especially proud that our hard work was recognized with MUASLA being awarded Best Cultural Club in 2024 and receiving the Social Media Award in 2025. These wins were a true reflection of the passion, creativity, and dedication of everyone involved. A huge thank you to everyone I’ve worked with along the way, My amazing committee members Manodya Abeynayakage, Nadithi Kalugampitiya and Sachin Momotharo, our extended team Tiyana P., Sunera Dulnaka Hewage, Vimukthi Wepitiyage, volunteers and all our supportive members who made every event special. Though my time in this team has come to an end, I’ll always carry forward the lessons and memories from MUASLA as I move into the next chapter of my journey.
